ARBURGadditive – the 3D printing department of the leading German manufacturer of industrial systems for plastics processing, will present in May 2023 at the AM Rapid.Tech 3D fair two new 3D printers – Freeformer 750-3X, a machine printing directly from granules and LiQ5 printing from liquid silicone in LSR technology.

The Freeformer 750-3X will be the largest 3D printer in Arburg’s range, with approximately 2.5 times more build space than the Freeformer 300-3X. At the same time, both devices have the same outer dimensions. By working with pellets instead of filaments, Arburg 3D printers allow you to work with identical pellets as those used in injection molding, including soft thermoplastics in a hard/soft combination.

Arburg Plastic Freeforming (APF) with Freeformer is an open system that offers a wide range of materials. This means that the user has control over the production process and can adjust and optimize the distribution of layers, the size of the applied droplets and other production parameters in a targeted manner. In addition, the proprietary data processing and 3D printer control system, Gestica, has been further optimized in terms of process stability, component quality and construction time. The result is a significantly reduced cost per component.

The second 3D printer – LiQ5 allows you to work with liquid silicones. The device has an actively heated working chamber and allows the production of components used in orthopedics or technical seals. The device guarantees the quality of injection molding without the use of expensive equipment.

At AM Rapid.Tech 3D, Arburg will offer a concentrated load of expertise in everything to do with industrial additive manufacturing. To show the range of services related to this, the company’s partner – t-exact from Steinbach-Hallenberg (Thuringia) will be present at the stand, presenting its portfolio of services in the field of 3D printing, 3D analysis using computed tomography and measurements of coordinates and profiles. For visitors to the Arburg stand, the experts also have numerous components on hand that are used in sectors such as automotive, aerospace and medical technology.
