voxeljet – Germany based manufacturer of industrial 3D printers using Binder Jetting technology, announced the upcoming premiere of the new production system – VJET X-IOB, which is meant to be the world’s first fully automated solution for the industry, based entirely on additive technologies. The system is to print details used as sockets for foundry molds, used primarily by the automotive industry, and its speed is to be ten times higher than what voxeljet machines currently offer.

The maximum speed with which the VJET X-IOB prints details is to be up to 400 liters per hour. What’s more, all pre- and post-processing should also be fully automated and human participation in the production of spatial models is to be reduced to an absolute minimum. voxeljet sees the destiny of its new machines primarily in the automotive sector, where they would create the necessary elements for the construction of engines or transmissions. We will get to know more details about the new solutions of the producer this autumn, most probably during the Formnext trade fair in Frankfurt am Main.
