XYZprinting, a Taiwanese manufacturer of 3D printers, will present its latest high-temperature system for 3D printing in SLS technology – MfgPro236 xS at the Formnext trade fair. Although the machine had its official premiere in September this year. at Rapid TCT in Chicago, USA, it will be its first official presentation in Europe. In terms of materials, the 3D printer is supported by BASF Forward AM, which is the result of the deepening cooperation between the two companies, initiated at the beginning of this year.

XYZprinting advertises the MfgPro236 xS as “the most powerful, efficient and affordable” SLS 3D printer in the company’s portfolio. The 3D printer has a working area of 230 x 230 x 250 mm and is equipped with a 60W CO2 laser. The minimum height of the printed layers is only 0.06 mm, and the 3D printing speed is 22 mm per hour. The proprietary XYZware SLS software is used for operation.

The most important feature of the new 3D printer is its wide material possibilities. Thanks to the partnership with BASF Forward AM, future MfgPro236 xS users will be able to benefit from a wide portfolio of polymer powders, including PA6, PA11, PA12, PA11-CF, PP, TPU and more. XYZPrinting also allows the use of materials from other suppliers.

To enable the use of higher temperature engineering materials, the 3D printer offers an internal gas control system with four independent heaters to control the thermal field. Consequently, the inside of the working chamber is able to reach temperatures of up to 220°C.
