Xiaomi introduces the first photopolymer 3D printer – Xiaomi Mijia

One of the largest electronic companies in the world – Xiaomi, presented the Mijia photopolymer 3D printer. The device costs 1999 yuan (approx. EUR 260), but is currently offered on the Xiaomi Youpin trading platform for 1699 yuan (approx. EUR 220). The 3D printer will be available for open sale in China from August 10. and will be compatible with the Mijia application, which will allow it to remotely control and monitor the 3D printing process.

Xiaomi Mijia is a typical, low-budget 3D printer based on an LCD screen and UV backlight. Its working area is 118x65x160 mm. It is equipped with an independent feeder that supports the automatic pouring and pouring of resin into and out of the vat. The container has a capacity of 500 ml and is easily replaceable. Other features include a single-line Z-axis guide rail, a custom high-power motor, and a customized LCD transmission screen providing 100-110 mW/cm² illumination.

As the product is developed by Xiaomi, an artificial intelligence module has been added to the 3D printer to simplify and optimize the 3D printing process. The device is able to independently adjust the 3D printing parameters for the selected model, without having to set the print parameters manually. It also has its own library of 3D printing models, which includes objects from various categories such as art, education, home or hobby. It also allows you to load 3D models from other platforms.
