Formlabs has announced the launch of the Fuse 1+ 30W – a new and more efficient version of its system for 3D printing from polyamide powders in SLS technology. The new device is based on the Fuse 1 model, which was introduced to the market last year, but was equipped with a 30W laser, 20W more than the previous model. This solution, combined with the modernized galvanometer system, ensures faster 3D printing process, better throughput and access to new, high-performance materials. Fuse 1+ 30W is available for immediate order from $ 27,499. The shipment of the first copies is planned for the end of August this year.

Formlabs says the Fuse 1+ 30W can reach scanning speeds of up to 12.5 meters per second, and the parts filling the full working chamber of the 3D printer will be printed within 24 hours. The nitrogen blow-through 3D printing option is designed to compete with industry leaders, while the high working chamber fill density and recyclability of the powder ensure low-waste 3D printing, lower unit cost of parts, and faster return on your 3D printer investment.

In addition to the Fuse 1+ 30W, the company also announced the launch of Nylon 11 CF Powder, which is designed to enable end-use applications that are strong yet lightweight. Carbon-filled nylon provides high stiffness and dimensional stability, a high degree of vibration / impact resistance with a high strength-to-weight ratio and thermal stability.
