Zortrax makes every effort to ensure that their Z-SUITE software meets the expectations of even the most demanding users. Now, the manufacturer gives them a chance to have a real impact on the shape of subsequent versions of the software released by launching Z-SUITE BETA.

As Rafał Tomasiak, the president of Zortrax says, Z-SUITE BETA has been launched to adapt new software functions to the real needs of the community gathered around Zortrax equipment, engage it in the company’s development and improve the process of implementing changes in the target software.

Users who become beta testers of the software will have access to its latest features and improvements, such as:

Hybrid support structures

The function of hybrid support structures is dedicated to 3D printers equipped with two print heads (M300 Dual and Inventure).

Comparison – generated soluble support vs. hybrid support

Earlier, 3D printers could print support structures from model material or soluble support filament. The new Z-SUITE allows the creation of hybrid support structures (“Hybrid Support” function), where only the portion of the support adjacent to the model is printed from soluble support material, and model material is used for the rest. This saves on soluble material, while reducing the risk of damage to the model during mechanical removal of supports.

Faster 3D printing

Another novelty – acceleration and improvement of the quality of material profiles in M300 Dual and Inventure printers in double extrusion mode for filaments Z-ULTRAT Plus, Z-ESD, Z-PLA and Z-PETG.

The changes are to help eliminate the biggest disadvantage of 3D printing with two print heads, i.e. a long production time. By updating the latest version of Z-SUITE, the speed of 3D printing from two materials is closer to the speed of production in single extrusion mode.

Optimizing work with Zortrax Inkspire

Z-SUITE introduces a number of improvements dedicated to Zortrax Inkspire. When working with a 3D printer, it was possible to edit and generate separate supports for each model placed on the working platform. In addition, algorithms generating supports have been optimized to provide support for all delicate places on the models, which will translate into even better print quality and lower risk of failure of the 3D printing process.

Comparison – standard, automatically generated supports – earlier version of Z-SUITE vs Z-SUITE BETA
The full list of new products awaiting Z-SUITE BETA users is available on ZORTRAX website.

How to help the manufacturer optimize the latest version of Z-SUITE? People willing to become BETA testers can leave their email address in the Support Center tab in the Downloads section of the Zortrax website and immediately download the test software.

Reporting bugs is possible via the “report a bug” option. Clicking on the appropriate button redirects to the forum dedicated to a specific version of the software, where you can report the problem and any comments. Feedback from users is extremely important at the stage of optimizing the new version of the software.

Using the latest version of Z-SUITE on M Plus and M300 Dual 3D printers requires firmware version 2.2.0.
