XJet enters the fashion industry with 3D printing from liquid metal

XJet announced cooperation with XOLUTIONS – an Italian group consisting of Bluclad S.p.A. and Progold S.p.A. The former is a market leader in electroplating solutions for metal accessories in the luxury fashion industry, and the latter sets standards in the field of reference metal alloys in jewelry production. XOLUTIONS has purchased an XJet Carmel 1400M AM 3D printer from XJet to fuel research and development in the application of this technology in the luxury fashion and jewelry sector.

According to Damiano Zito, general director of Progold (XOLUTIONS company), the resolution and smoothness of the surface of the elements produced on the 3D printer were the key factors of this cooperation. “XJet technology perfectly fits the needs of the luxury market. The surface finish and resolution – key to this market – achieved by NanoParticle Jetting technology is a step forward from what any other AM technology can provide. There’s just no comparison.”

This move is part of a broader strategy of companies belonging to the XOLUTIONS group, aimed at responding to the growing demand for high-quality stainless steel accessories. The surge in demand has prompted the group to enhance its value proposition by introducing a solution that will significantly help its fashion accessory customers meet this need. XJet technology is designed to elegantly and effectively fill this gap.

A collection of fashionable accessories made on the XJet Carmel 1400M 3D printer will be presented in T-GOLD Hall 9, stand 221 during the Vicenzaoro Jewelery Boutique Show in Vicenza in January 2024.
