The Ukrainian manufacturer of 3D printers for metal has launched a production plant in Poland

IAMG – a company with Ukrainian roots that produces 3D printers for metal in the Laser Bed Powder Fusion (LBPF) technology, has started its official operation in Poland. On Monday, June 12, in Pruszków near Warsaw, the ceremonial opening of the first IAMG plant took place. Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Zvarych.

The new IAMG production facility consists of seven production spaces. The company offers its customers both the sale of equipment enabling 3D printing, as well as supplying them with ready-made products prepared with the use of an advanced machine park located in the facility.

Additive manufacturing is a dynamically developing market sector. As shown by SmartTech Analysis data, in 2022 the industry recorded a 23% year-on-year growth, reaching a value of USD 13.5 billion. Forecasts indicate that by 2025 it will be almost twice as much – as much as USD 25 billion. Starting IAMG’s operations in Poland is an important step in the implementation of the business strategy adopted by the company.

– “We were looking for a hub that would allow us to cooperate even better with clients from Europe, and Poland seemed to be the perfect place for this. The solutions we offer are not only innovative metal 3D printing systems with auxiliary devices, but also a comprehensive platform for additive manufacturing. From engineering and strain relief support to post-treatment metal and plastic printing. This allows us to control and verify all stages of the production process and provide full customer support by our experts and engineers based in Poland,” says the group’s president, Dr. Bogdan Dovgyy.

According to IAMG, there is still significant growth potential on the Polish market in terms of the use of additive manufacturing technology. According to the data of the Central Statistical Office, only 2.4% of Polish enterprises use additive manufacturing technology, and only 1.4% of them have their own 3D printers.

– By being a leader in this underutilized area and taking advantage of the advantages and versatility of our solutions, we can take a strong position on the domestic market. The use of additive technologies is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to reduce production time and costs, while ensuring maximum optimization of products manufactured in this way. A perfect example of how these solutions work in practice are implementations created for the aviation industry – the use of additive technologies and 3D printing made it possible to create aircraft parts that are over 80% lighter and retain the same functionalities as their standard counterparts – adds Dr. Bogdan Dovgyy.
