E3D-Online – the British manufacturer of high-quality extruders, printheads and countless accessories for the construction and servicing of amateur 3D printers, announced that Sanjay Mortimer – one of the co-founders and co-architects of its global success – passed away last weekend.

The team co-created by Mortimer was one of the first to develop truly effective and reliable filament extrusion systems with high-performance heads, allowing them to work with a wide range of materials. E3D-Online products allowed users of cheap 3D printers to sail out into the open and experiment with filaments that by default were not possible to print on their devices.

Sanjay Mortimer passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the age of only 32. The cause of death has not been made public.
