Opt Lasers and ZMorph are Polish brands known on world markets for high quality products and an innovative approach to production. The cooperation of the two companies to date has resulted in the creation of a 2.8 W laser with a good reputation, which is now the basic solution for ZMorph printers. Now the manufacturer of advanced laser heads is launching another product – a 6 W laser kit for ZMorph 3D printers.

The latest 6 W laser model is an extension of the manufacturer’s laser range, and at the same time is another of a series of dedicated Opt Lasers kits designed for 3D printers and CNC machines from leading global manufacturers.

The blue 6-watt laser for ZMorph devices is a proposal for users requiring more than standard 3D printer equipment provides. The standard ZMorph laser has 2.8 W power – this is often insufficient power for applications such as permanent marking of steel. Lower laser power also means lower engraving speed.

The 6-watt PLH3D-6W-XF head developed by Opt Lasers is the solution to these problems. Despite the larger head size and weight than the basic laser model, it works seamlessly with the ZMorph mechanism, and the installation on the device is easy.

The laser engraving head Opt Lasers PLH3D-6W-XF is a device built on the basis of the branded NUBM44 Nichia 6W blue laser diode. It is equipped with a dedicated microcontroller constructed by Opt Lasers, as well as an efficient fan that not only provides cooling, but also protects laser optics against the effects of smoke generated during operation. Aluminum housing helps in dissipating heat and protects against external influences. These solutions mean that after an hour of continuous operation, the temperature of the head increases only slightly.

The head allows adjusting the size of the beam, which allows engraving with different resolution and power, resulting in a wide range of achievable effects. Two lenses are supplied with the laser to allow using different modes of operation. The kit also includes: adapter cable and safety glasses with CE safety mark. The included accessories allow quick start and safe work with the laser.

Detailed information and full technical specification of the head is available on the Opt Lasers product page.
