Nexa3D and 3D Phoenix invite to webinar devoted to the use of the new, flexible TPC material

Nexa3D – a manufacturer of ultra-fast 3D printers, announced during the Formnext 2023 fair the availability of its new industrial laser sintering system – QLS 260, as well as its compatibility with the recently introduced INFINAM TPC 8008P powder, developed by Evonik. Next Wednesday, Nexa3D is organizing a webinar during which it will further present the possibilities offered by this flexible material in the production of industrial-grade parts. 3D Phoenix – the official distributor of Nexa3D in Poland – invites you to the event.

The QLS 260 is based on fast cycle sintering technology, with a new on-board nitrogen generator designed to simplify the operation of the device. With the ability to complete the entire production cycle in just 22 hours, the QLS 260 allows for daily production, making it perfect for a wide range of polymer and metal production.

The new Evonik material, which is compatible with the QLS 260 3D printer, is thermoplastic copolyester (TPC), belonging to the group of elastomers. In its molecular structure, it combines the properties of polyesters and polyethers. INFINAM TPC 8008P offers a balance of mechanical, thermal and chemical properties making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

The material exhibits excellent water resistance, abrasion resistance and UV stability, making it ideal for many industries including footwear, orthopedic and prosthetics, automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer. Even with this rugged performance, TPC remains easy to post-process using AMT’s PostPro SF Series steam smoothing equipment. Nexa3D has already launched the possibility of 3D printing from TPC material on many QLS 3D printers at JawsTec – a leading provider of additive manufacturing services in the USA.

Next Wednesday (November 29, 2023) there will be a webinar devoted entirely to the use of the INFINAM TPC 8008P material on Nexa3D 3D printers. Here’s what information will be covered:

  • what distinguishes TPC from other TPU and TPE materials?
  • how to use TPC in production applications?
  • TPC performance characteristics
  • how to control material performance through design?
  • automation of the production process of TPC components
  • how might TPC impact manufacturing parts, including footwear and sporting goods?
