Nano Dimension, a manufacturer of specialized devices for additive manufacturing of electronics, acquired Global Inkjet Systems Ltd. (GIS). GIS, based in Cambridge, UK, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high performance control electronics, software and ink delivery systems. Founded in 2006, the company is well known for developing and delivering state-of-the-art 2D and 3D inkjet printing equipment and unique operating software.

GIS supports a wide range of printheads from major manufacturers including Fujifilm Dimatix, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Ricoh, SII Printek, Toshiba TEC, and Xaar. Over the years, the company has built up a substantial customer base in the 3D printing sector and has expertise in spraying binder (metal and sand) and polymers with more than 130 customers worldwide.

GIS ink delivery technology and software are essential for every ink deposition methodology in our AME and AM solutions. In the previous completed fiscal year which ended March 2021, GIS revenues were approximately $ 10 million with a gross margin of 51%. Nano Dimension has paid GIS shareholders $ 18.1 million in cash and will pay an additional $ 1.3 million to $ 10.7 million over the next 27 months if GIS performs specified financial results within that time period.
