Markforged has announced the introduction of Smooth TPU 95A to its material offering – a new rubber-like filament dedicated to the production of high-quality flexible parts in small and medium quantities. The material is dedicated to use in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, consumer products, electronics, energy and industrial equipment.

Flexible media is difficult to print, often causing jams and congestion in the printing systems. As a result, few 3D printers can produce good quality end-use parts that have the consistency and mechanical properties expected by users. The Markforged platform – The Digital Forge, has been designed to meet these challenges by synchronizing hardware, software and materials to ensure consistent and reliable TPU printing.

Smooth TPU 95A is compatible with Mark Two (Gen 2) and Onyx Pro (Gen 2) 3D printers. Soon it will also be available on X7 (Gen 2) printers, which will be equipped with the new A3648 extruder.
