The American company – Azure Printed Homes has signed a contract with the Californian real estate company ReInhabit for the construction of ten new eco-friendly houses made in 3D printing technology. ReInhabit expects to achieve significant savings in terms of costs and implementation time. Unlike other companies of this type on the market, Azure uses recycled plastic in 3D printing houses.

Established three years ago, Azure focuses on creating innovative homes faster, more economically and sustainably than traditional construction methods allow. To make this possible, the company created a factory approach to homes, creating home studios and residential houses from recycled plastics. According to Azure, recycling makes the house-building process much cheaper and 70% faster.

Earlier this year, Azure launched a 1400 square meter 3D printing factory with proprietary 3D printers based on a robotic arm. The material is delivered in the form of granules making the work faster and more stable.

The company has so far received a number of home study orders, with home deliveries scheduled for next year. Demand is so high that Azure has a $ 16 million customer waiting list.

In February 2022, the developer placed an order for fourteen 3D-printed homes to be installed in Ridgecrest, California. By combining the tightness of the building with the use of low-emission technologies, such as heat pumps and solar panels, the structures will be energy-efficient and relatively cheap to build.
