3DEO introduces 316 stainless steel to its offer

3DEO – an American company dealing with design, engineering and additive manufacturing based on 3D metal printing, has introduced austenitic 316L stainless steel to its offer. The new material is available to customers in all industries, especially in medical, industrial, marine and food.

Fully austenitic, non-magnetic 3DEO 316L stainless steel (UNS S31603 equivalent) retains excellent performance at room and moderately elevated temperatures, along with excellent formability and mechanical properties. The weldable material is extremely corrosion resistant, making it ideal for applications with harsh environmental conditions.

316L is commonly used in applications such as laboratory equipment, impellers and pumps, engine parts, food processing equipment, jewelry, kitchen equipment, surgical instruments, marine, chemical and petrochemical processing, and more.

3DEO helps clients with complex metal printed components at every stage of the product lifecycle, from early ideas and prototypes to large-scale production. And because prototypes are manufactured using the same machinery and technology as longer production runs, 3DEO customers can move seamlessly from prototype to production without having to undergo lengthy or costly design changes or requalification to bring products to market.
