Zortrax patented its invention

Zortrax, a Polish manufacturer of 3D printers, materials and software obtained a patent for „System for preparing a 3D printer printout base and a method of preparing a 3D printer printout base”. It’s the next important moment for the company from Olsztyn.

The obtained patent protects a solution applied in 3D printers M200. Concerned is an original system of calibration of the working platform, which is an essential element of 3D print.

Methods of calibration in another 3D printers available on the market, base on manual measurements. The main reason for the onerousness of a manual calibration process is the necessity of multiple verification of the obtained calibration result through trial and error. In out M200 we worked out an automatic measurement of calibration points, what eliminates errors in preparing of a 3D print, which should be very precise.

The company ensures, that the biggest advantage of the patented invention is a possibility of a very precise calibration  of working system of the 3D printer, which decreases a risk of peeling of models from the platform.

The patented system is applied in 3D printers Zortrax M200 and it will be also implemented in another models of 3D printers worked out the company.
