UltiMaker appoints a new CEO

UltiMaker announced Michiel Alting von Geusau as its new CEO. The company, which was formed following last year’s merger of Ultimaker and MakerBot, has spent the last 12 months transforming its structures to align with its strategy of “increasing the adoption of 3D printing solutions on desktop devices.” This includes Ultimaker S-series and MakerBot Method printers intended for industrial segment, as well as educational products from the Sketch series.

Alting von Geusau took up the position on September 4, 2023, replacing the current CEO of MakerBot – Nadav Goshen, who also performed these duties at UltiMaker. Nadav left the company to pursue a new venture.

Michiel Alting von Geusau has extensive business experience, leading companies through acquisitions and integrations. Previously, he served as CEO and CFO at Docdata N.V., where he led the sales of Ingram Micro Commerce & Fulfillment. At Ingram Micro, Alting von Geusau was global president of the Commerce and Lifecycle Services business unit.
