CadXpert implements a breakthrough project for the Lodz University of Technology

CadXpert – one of the largest distributors of industrial 3D printers in Poland (Stratasys, UltiMaker and Formlabs) and a leading service company in the country, has implemented a pioneering project for the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery at the Lodz University of Technology. Using 3D printing technology from light-curing resins, the company has produced a unique model of the human arterial system in a 1:1 scale.

The project was implemented as part of a grant financed by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR) No. LIDER/12/0056/L-10/18/NCBR/2019. The Formlabs Form 3L 3D printer and Elastic 50A elastic material were used to produce the model. The 3D model enables a deeper understanding of blood flow in the simplified human arterial system. This innovative tool provides scientists with invaluable help in more accurate numerical simulations, which opens up new possibilities in the study and analysis of the cardiovascular system.

The project is carried out at the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Lodz University of Technology under the supervision of dr inż. Piotr Reorowicz. It combines the latest achievements of 3D printing technology with the science of the arterial system, contributing to further progress in the field of biomedicine.
