3D Systems announces the launch of three new light-curing resins

3D Systems has announced the release of three new materials for its SLA photopolymer 3D printers and high speed Figure 4. Accura AMX Tough FR V0 Black, Figure 4 Tough FR V0 Black and Figure 4 JCAST-GRN 20 resins are expected to be available in Q3 2023 and are designed for many industries, from automotive to jewelry.

The first of the materials – Accura AMX Tough FR V0 Black, is perceived by 3D Systems as the first in the 3D printing industry, flame retardant material dedicated to SLA technology. It is designed to offer high-quality part production, long-term stability, combining flexural modulus and elongation at break of nearly 35%. It also has UL 94 V0 flame retardant certification. Suggested applications of the resin include the production of covers, semiconductor accessories, electrical enclosures, covers, handles, brackets and flame retardant parts dedicated to railways and buses. The material is also available as Figure 4 Tough FR V0 Black for use with the Figure 4 3D printer.

The third material, Figure 4 JCAST-GRN 20, is a casting resin intended for use with the Figure 4 Jewelry 3D printer. 3D Systems says the material has been optimized to cleanly and easily burn highly detailed, accurate, high definition, repeatable jewelry patterns and is suitable for a range of precious metals.
