3D Lab presents new ATO Technology innovations at Formnext: ATO Induction Melting System and ATO Cast

3D Lab – a leader in the field of ultrasonic machines for the production and processing of metal powders, presented its latest achievements in the development of the proprietary ATO Technology ecosystem at the Formnext fair in Frankfurt am Main. The company presented two groundbreaking devices: ATO Induction Melting System and ATO Cast, which represent a significant advance in metal powder production and additive manufacturing.

The first novelty is the ATO Induction Melting System, which provides advanced atomization of metal. ATO IMS was the main attraction at the 3D Lab stand, thanks to the increased possibilities offered by ultrasonic metal atomizers. The innovative module is designed to produce high-quality, spherical metal powders with low oxygen content and narrow particle size distribution.

IMS is particularly effective on metals with lower melting points, minimizing the evaporation of elements. It offers versatility in batch options, handling both bar feed using the single bar feed system module and irregularly shaped materials in the crucible. This expansion of material handling broadens the spectrum of research opportunities and increases powder production efficiency.

Together with IMS, 3D Lab also presented ATO Cast – a compact vacuum casting oven designed for the highest raw material purity. ATO Cast embodies the essence of the ATO technology ecosystem, offering unparalleled precision in alloy casting and design. This machine is a testament to 3D Lab’s commitment to providing versatile and efficient solutions for both research and production environments.

The ATO technology developed by 3D Lab is more than just a range of products – it is a coherent ecosystem that improves the production of metal powders. The integrated system connects atomizers, ovens, screening stations and cleaning units to ensure a seamless workflow. ATO Technology offers modular adaptability, allowing users to tailor the configuration to specific requirements. Users can select the particle size distribution and choose from different types of raw materials such as wire, rod or irregular shapes. This flexibility ensures each user’s unique production needs are met, making ATO technology a versatile solution.

“At 3D Lab, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the production of metal powders,” says Jakub Rozpendowski, CEO of 3D Lab. “The introduction of the ATO Induction Melting System and ATO Cast at this year’s Formnext is a significant milestone in our journey and reinforces our commitment to innovation and sustainability within ATO technology.”

The presence of 3D Lab at the Formnext fair confirmed its role as a pioneer in additive manufacturing, constantly developing the capabilities and potential of metal atomization technology.
