Eplus3D, a Chinese manufacturer of industrial 3D printers, has announced the opening of a European office in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The opening was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the company’s management, customers, partners and employees. The new office with an area of over 600m² is located in the city center of Ludwigsburg and was created in response to the growing base of Eplus3D partners and customers in Europe. It has been equipped with a dedicated workspace for additive production, a presentation of parts that have been printed using Eplus3D machines, as well as offices and conference rooms.
Eplus3D has started the process of expanding its international business over the past two years, developing a global partner network in more than 40 countries and regions. The office in Germany is to manage Eplus3D operations in Europe, receive clients for training and conduct meetings with clients and partners. It will be used as a demonstration facility as well as deliver the latest additive manufacturing solutions, develop applications, and provide consulting and training services to clients in the aerospace, automotive, medical, machine and tool industries. Eplus3D will also supply local customers with all spare parts and consumables for their machines.
The opening of the office in Germany was also related to the organization of the first Global Meeting of Eplus3D Partners. During the two-day conference, the company welcomed more than 40 participants from around the world and talked with partners about the innovative Eplus3D metal 3D printing technology as well as the artificial intelligence-based production of an operating system for medical and industrial applications.
Eplus3D was founded in 2014 as a subsidiary of Shining3D – one of the largest manufacturers of 3D scanners in the world. In September last year, the companies decided to formally separate so that Eplus3D could devote its entirety to the production of industrial machines such as MPBF (Metal Powder Bed Fusion) and PPBF (Polymer Powder Bed Fusion), which is the equivalent of SLM and SLS methods.
