Zortrax reached revenues of PLN 24.3 mln and recorded a 38% increase year-to-year

September is a very intense time for Zortrax. At the beginning of the month, the manufacturer announced a firmware update for its 3D printers – Zortrax M200 Plus and M300 Plus, thanks to which it significantly increased their functional range, and a moment later announced the premiere of a new device dedicated to the industrial sector, which will be officially presented at the beginning of next week. However, this is not the end – Zortrax announced that during the first seven months of this year it generated revenue of PLN 24.3 million, which is a 38% increase compared to the same period in 2018.

The result achieved so far already accounts for 73% of last year’s revenues, and we are ahead of the entire fourth quarter of the year, which historically is always the most profitable quarter in the entire 3D printing industry in the world. Observing the current growth dynamics, it can be assumed that 2019 will be much better than last year.

In an interview with ISBnews Rafał Tomasiak, co-founder and president of Zortrax S.A. said:

The construction of a new, more diversified sales network in terms of distribution and consistent expansion of the portfolio, with particular emphasis on specialized devices dedicated to the medical and manufacturing industries, brings the desired results. We expect a positive sales trend to continue in the upcoming months of this year.

This year, the Olsztyn manufacturer presented a new 3D printer – Zortrax M300 Dual, which allows printing details from two heads – one dedicated for building materials and the other dedicated for support materials, soluble in water. A number of new consumables have been added to the offer, in particular dedicated to the Inkspire 3D photopolymer 3D printer. This device has been able to print from resins dedicated to the prosthetic and jewelry industries. The company has also implemented a lot of new functionalities in its Z-SUITE software, which culminated in the firmware update mentioned in the introduction.
