The production plant of Markforged 3D printing materials obtains the ISO 9001:2015 certificate

Markforged announced that its 3D printing materials manufacturing facility located in Billerica, Massachusetts, USA, has been certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 by TUV Rheinland in North America after meeting quality management and quality assurance standards. The company says the certification enhances its credibility and trust as an additive manufacturing company by streamlining its supplier audit process. Certification enables Markforged to build better quality applications as regulated industries such as aviation require suppliers to follow the processes and controls reflected in ISO 9001:2015.

Markforged says the new certification, along with its existing ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management certification, underscores its ability to support businesses of all sizes. “Receiving the certification is a reflection of the high manufacturing culture nurtured at our Billerica facility and the overall commitment to quality and reliability that is deeply rooted in our company DNA,” said Scott Kaempfe, Markforged senior director of manufacturing. “We are committed to building a world-class scalable manufacturing facility that will provide our customers with high value and reliable performance now and in the future.”

ISO 9001:2015 is a standard for quality management systems that was published in 2015 by the International Organization for Standardization. According to Markforged, the standard ensures that an organization demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products and services that “meet and enhance” customer satisfaction and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
