One of the most often touched surfaces are door handles in public places, as well as the front door in our houses. It is very risky and troublesome in times of COVID-19 pandemic, where the deadly coronavirus spreads among others by touch. To help staying safe Solveere – polish engineering company specializing in rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing designed a small, but useful and practical personal door opener.
Solveere call it “personal” because its users can always have it with them. What is also really important – users must be sure that they’re the only persons touching it and have full control keeping it clean sanitizing it with water& soap or disinfectant liquid . Opener is not screwed to the door handle permanently – it can be worn in pocket and used always when need to open the door or objects like cabinets or windows.
STL file is free, but not for commercial use. At the moment Solveere is 3D printing them for people company’s neighborhood – those who do not have that kind of option. The personal door opener is one-piece element with no need for any extras to install it.
Solveere Sp. z o.o. is based in Poland with almost 15-year experience in the field of rapid prototyping. Its portfolio includes several thousand completed projects for clients from the automotive, telecom and FMCG industries.
