Stratasys has partnered with Ricoh USA to provide healthcare facilities with anatomical modeling services in medical facilities. RICOH 3D for Healthcare uses Stratasys 3D printing technology to provide doctors and hospitals with access to 3D printed anatomical models tailored to the patient’s needs.
RICOH 3D for Healthcare is a comprehensive workflow system that simplifies the design and production of anatomical models for healthcare professionals. The solution increases the medical facility’s access to 3D printed medical models to help doctors and surgeons look inside the anatomy for a better insight into the specificity of patients’ ailments.
Ricoh uses the Stratasys J750 Digital Anatomy and Stratasys J5 MediJet 3D 3D printers to create models produced for RICOH 3D for Healthcare. The devices create realistic anatomical models that can reflect the individual pathology of the patient and be physically manipulated like human tissue. Medical models enable physicians to provide more personalized care through better surgical preparation and patient education, and can also be used for medical training purposes.
RICOH 3D for Healthcare is available to suppliers in two ways – a point-of-care option, which includes the possession of Stratasys 3D printers in conjunction with Ricoh’s on-site managed service personnel to manage the entire process in accordance with the Ricoh Quality Management System and Good Manufacturing Practices; and an on-demand option where suppliers can order and 3D print anatomical models and send them directly to them. Both options are HIPAA compliant and easy for healthcare professionals to use.
