SLM Solutions, a leading manufacturer of metal 3D printers in the world, recorded an impressive increase in orders by +50% and revenue growth by +47% in the first quarter of 2023. Revenues for the first quarter amounted to €24.0 million, an increase of +47% compared to the previous year (Q1 2022: €16.4 million). EBITDA for the first quarter of 2023 amounted to EUR -4.3 million, which is the result of the negative impact of one-off events, but it is an improvement of 3% compared to the first quarter of 2022 (EUR -4.4 million). The excellent results in terms of revenues and orders were achieved thanks to the strong position of the NXG XII 600 product and the overall strength of the broad product portfolio.
Sam O’Leary, CEO of SLM Solutions, commented on these results, saying: “We again achieved significant growth in revenue and orders in the first quarter of 2023. Despite the headwinds that have impacted our operating profitability, we expect a significant improvement in this regard over the rest of the year. In addition, we have been working intensively with Nikon since closing the deal in January and we are excited about the opportunities our partnership can bring, which is already starting to show results.”
Thanks to solid growth and a strong market position, SLM Solutions confirms its position as a leader in the field of metal 3D printing technology. The company is constantly striving to innovate and improve its product offer, and the results for the first quarter of 2023 are proof of the effectiveness of this strategy.
