Sam O’Leary, CEO of Nikon SLM Solutions, will remain in his position until 2028.

Nikon SLM Solutions has extended the contract of its CEO Sam O’Leary until March 2028. The decision was made by the company’s Supervisory Board. O’Leary has served as CEO since January 2021, replacing predecessor Meddah Hadjar. His key achievements include “achieving significant growth and building strong relationships with key customers” during this time.

During his tenure, Nikon SLM Solutions successfully installed several 12-laser NXG XII 600 platforms at companies such as GKN Aerospace and Divergent, began R&D work on even larger machines to bring to market in the future, and was acquired by Nikon under transactions worth EUR 622 million. The company also recorded sales of 900 units of 3D printers for metal additive manufacturing.

“The unanimous decision of the Supervisory Board to extend Sam’s contract is a clear vote of confidence in his vision and leadership,” commented Hamid Zarringhalam, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. “Sam’s unwavering commitment and insightful guidance have been instrumental in positioning Nikon SLM Solutions as a leader in the metal additive manufacturing industry. His leadership will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and lead in customer-centric metal additive applications.”

“This is an exciting time for Nikon SLM Solutions and I am honored to continue to lead our talented team,” added Sam O’Leary, CEO of Nikon SLM Solutions. “The future holds enormous potential and I am committed to ensuring we remain at the forefront of the metal additive manufacturing industry. Together, we will continue to drive innovation, excellence and deliver unparalleled value to our customers.”
