ROSA3D, a Polish manufacturer of filaments for 3D printers of the FDM / FFF type, has a wide range of specialized materials, including BioCreate, a biodegradable filament, characterized by high resistance to elevated temperatures. The company is now introducing ASA material in various colors.
The new filament will work in the production of parts for external display, which should be resistant to environmental influences. Elements made of ASA plastic can be used, for example, in the automotive, energy and gas industries, agriculture or transport.
In terms of mechanical properties, ASA is similar to ABS, but offers better resistance to UV radiation and temperature, as well as chemical resistance. Material left outside in harsh conditions, maintains color and physical properties much better than ABS. Due to the high degree of resistance to weather conditions, the filament will also be used in the production of e.g. external electrical boxes, gardening equipment and sensor casings.
ASA enriches the manufacturer’s line of technical filaments including PETG and PA doped with carbon fibers. Filaments are dedicated to the production of prototypes, instruments and accessories as well as parts for final use. ASA material will be available in the second half of February 2020. In Poland, filament can be purchased directly on the manufacturer’s website and from distributors.
