Replique – a partner network of leading manufacturers of 3D printing materials

BASF – one of the largest chemical concerns in the world, has established Replique – a network of producers of 3D printing materials, within which its members will ensure the highest quality of the offered products as well as a set of standards and certifications. The partner network is formed by the LEHVOSS Group, Evonik Industries, igus GmbH and BASF Forward AM – a subsidiary of BASF, specializing in solutions for additive technologies.

As part of the cooperation, the companies undertake to apply specific standards for the development, production and certification of 3D printing materials, so that they can be qualified for additive manufacturing of spare parts and end products. This will be possible through an automated quality documentation process, which will result in a certificate confirming that the material meets the required specifications. The certificate will be linked to each part produced and saved on the Replique digital inventory platform.

In addition to enabling this verification, Replique will also analyze selected business cases and customer requirements and adapt, improve or develop materials to better meet their needs.

If Replique reaches a high enough status, it could become a standard arbiter for the 3D printing materials industry and set the rules for the entire industry. Replique plans to expand its list of material partners with additional polymers and resins soon.
