Premiere of 3DGence INDUSTRY F420 at Formnext 2019

It’s only a week away from the start of one of the most important events from the world of 3D printing, i.e. the Formnext trade fair. Once again, Frankfurt am Main will be the place of the premiere of new solutions from the world of additive technologies – 3D printers, materials, filaments and devices optimizing 3D post-processing. 3DGence, a Polish manufacturer of 3D printers for industry, also announced the premiere of a new system for additive manufacturing, dedicated to rapid prototyping and serial production.

3DGence INDUSTRY F420 is characterized by everything that is expected of an industrial class machine – fast production speed of both prototypes and functional parts in high quality, with durability and precision worthy of the most demanding industries. In addition, the device can use a wide range of materials, which in combination with interchangeable modules and a heated working chamber sets a new standard in 3D printing for the needs of the industry.

According to Remigiusz Synowiec, Product Manager at 3DGence, the key advantage of the solution is the speed at which components are manufactured. The speed of 3D printing at 400 mm / s increases production efficiency, while increasing its profitability. Due to the fact that the device was designed for production from high temperature materials (such as ULTEM ™ or PEEK), it was equipped with a heated chamber that provides a stable temperature up to 180°C.

The device has also been enriched with a system of three printing modules, which positions the 3D printer as one of the most versatile on the market. Easy replacement of spatial printing modules correlated with predefined profiles gives ease of production from even the most demanding engineering materials. Filip Turzyński, an expert on technology and materials in 3DGence, adds that the priority for companies has been to create comprehensive solutions, which is why they are also developing their own database of materials.

Engineers working on INDUSTRY F420, supporting Industry 4.0 standards, developed a scalable cloud-based solution that allows users to monitor the current state of their machine park. This streamlines the entire production process, allowing remote communication with other devices and tracking current progress. Krzysztof Wilk, Director of Research and Development at 3DGence says that their solution will enable users to supervise the 3D printing process, including task queuing or scheduling device reviews.

The slicer has also been optimized, giving users access to new software functions and tested, predefined material profiles that significantly simplify the process, increasing the chance of 3D printing success.

Mateusz Sidorowicz, marketing director at 3DGence, emphasizes that the product offer is constantly expanding, but the biggest pride is the expansion of the INDUSTRY machine line dedicated to industrial solutions. INDUSTRY F420 was created based on the observations and comments of the company’s customers, which, combined with modernized technology, allowed the creation of a device ideal for engineering applications.

3DGence INDUSTRY F420 technical specification:

  • Maximum 3D printing area – 380 x 380 x 420 mm (60 648 cm3)
  • 3D printing technology – a method of double-head extrusion of polymeric materials
  • Filament diameter – 1.75 mm
  • Supported building materials – PLA, ABS, ASA, PA6 / 69, PC, ULTEM ™ PEEK
  • Supported supporting materials – soluble material ESM-10, HIPS
  • Maximum nozzle temperature – 500°C
