In mid-November in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the next edition of the largest trade fair dedicated to additive technologies in the world – Formnext 2022. And although the event will only start in a month and a half, it is already known that it will be larger than last year. Over 730 exhibitors, who will present themselves on over 50,000 m2, have already announced their participation. A number of Polish companies will appear at the event, while France will be the official partner country.
The global elite of additive manufacturing will appear on Formnext. Among the registered exhibitors there are, among others 3D Systems, Additive Industries, AddUp, Arburg, BigRep, Carbon, Desktop Metal, DMG Mori, Dyemansion, EOS, Farsoon, Formlabs, GE Additive, HP, Keyence, Markforged, Materialize, Renishaw, Ricoh, Siemens, Sisma, SLM Solutions, Stratasys, Trumpf, Voxeljet, XJet and Zeiss. In addition, many well-known international chemical and manufacturing groups will present their solutions along the entire process chain – BASF, Covestro, Evonik, Henkel, Höganäs, Linde, Mitsubishi Chemical, Nikon, Oerlikon, Sandvik, SMS Group and many others.
Formnext significantly expanded the AM4U event offer. It covers the topics of startups and capital investments, construction and architecture, decentralized production, the role of 3D printing in training and careers, and for the first time – “Deep Thought”, a panel where 3D printing topics are analyzed more intensively and important industry issues discussed. In addition, Discover3Dprinting seminars will be held on the AM4U stage every day of the fair. All content from the AM4U scene will be broadcast live on Formnext TV.
In addition to the AM4U program, Formnext 2022 will continue and expand with other events and new programming items. The Startup Challenge, which honors the innovative and profitable business ideas of young companies, is being held for the eighth time. The purmundus challenge idea competition is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special screening “Best of 10 Years”.
In addition, in 2022, the high-quality conference program organized by the content partner TCT will also address current trends and developments in additive manufacturing. Senior representatives from Honda, GE Healthcare, PepsiCo and other companies will discuss current developments in the medical technology, aerospace, automotive and food industries. VDMA presents its special show with industrial 3D printing applications and business examples from the world of mechanical engineering. The BE-AM special show will use real applications to show the advanced achievements of 3D printing, which is gaining more and more importance in the construction industry. At the same time, the BE-AM symposium will discuss the background and future developments in this field, including clay 3D printing, sustainable development and digital production.
France is one of the most important countries in Europe in terms of additive manufacturing and has been present on Formnext for many years. This year, more than 40 French companies, associations and research institutes will be present at Formnext, including France Additive, Cimes, CCI Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Carnot Network.
