At the end of July, Nano Dimension abandoned its attempt to acquire Stratasys, and unexpectedly found that at the moment when it begins to focus on its own business, it can afford quite sensible business moves. On Monday, we informed about its acquisition of software company Additive Flow, and now Nano Dimension has announced the contracting of the largest one-time order for proprietary machines in its history.
The company did not reveal who its client is (it is supposed to be “a leading Western leader in the industrial sector”), but emphasizes that the order received is the largest in terms of both value and number of machines. The sale includes a number of robotic systems designed and manufactured using integrated technologies from individual Nano Dimension divisions. This advanced additive manufacturing equipment is expected to be critical to the customer’s ecosystem.
The company reports that the nature of its client’s work requires the use of sophisticated innovations and a supply chain with advanced electronics to fulfill short orders.
