Formlabs will present a new post-processing solution for SLS 3D printing technology at Formnext 2023. At the stand, visitors will also be able to see the full portfolio of SLA and SLS 3D printers. However, the most important event of the fair will be the premiere of a new device for automated post-processing, thanks to which printed parts can be cleaned of remnants of unbaked powder in just 15 minutes. The device complements the Fuse Formlabs system.
Formlabs will also demonstrate an automated 3D printing ecosystem using SLA technology. It enables continuous throughput with the Form Auto system, advanced 3D printer fleet management with Fleet Control, and a new level of productivity in SLA 3D printing with the High Volume Resin system. In addition, Formlabs will showcase the full range of materials used on its 3D printers – including two recently introduced materials: 40A silicone resin and 4N aluminum oxide resin.
Those interested will also be able to learn about practical examples of the company’s 3D printing applications. Formlabs will present, among others, an example of an application from the French Romans Ferrari medical rehabilitation facility, where, thanks to 3D printing, children received medical masks for burns. The TUM Boring team from the Technical University of Munich will show how they developed a tunnel boring machine using 3D printing technology.
