Formlabs announced the addition of Microsoft Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossel to the company’s board of directors. The company believes it will benefit from Capossela’s “deep marketing knowledge, technical background and enthusiasm for 3D printing” as Formlabs continues its market expansion and showcase new 3D printing solutions with light-cured resins and powdered polymers.
Capossela has over 30 years of experience at Microsoft, where he oversees marketing for the company’s consumer and business sectors. Throughout his career, he held numerous leadership positions and oversaw the development of new business opportunities that contributed to Microsoft’s growth. He has extensive experience working with hardware, software and services, and is experienced in driving customer engagement. Formlabs expects this to aid in its global expansion efforts.
“Chris Capossela’s skills and experience will complement the board as we help the company grow its ecosystem on a global scale,” said Formlabs co-founder and CEO Max Lobovsky. “Microsoft is one of the best and largest B2B technology companies in the world. We have a lot to learn from Chris about delivering technology solutions to a wide range of customers.”
“I saw the potential of 3D printing with my own eyes. Formlabs stands out in the industry with a growing, innovative ecosystem of 3D printers, software, accessories and materials that will accelerate the adoption of this technology,” added Capossela. “I am excited to join the Formlabs board as the company continues its impressive growth trajectory.”
