The LMT Lab Day dental fair is currently underway in Chicago, USA, and Formlabs – the leading manufacturer of desktop, photopolymer 3D printers announced there close cooperation with BEGO – the leading specialist in prosthetics and implantology, under which users of The Form 2 and The Form 3 3D printers will be able to use a wide range of specialized resins. Using BEGO materials on Formlabs devices will allow to print temporary and permanent crowns and bridges.
BEGO has been operating on the dental market for 130 years, and for over two decades also specializes in the field of materials used in 3D printing for prosthetics and dentistry. Prints made from the manufacturer’s resins ensure excellent aesthetic results achieved in various shades, while having a low tendency to discoloration or the appearance of an aging effect. They are also characterized by low plaque accumulation and high wearing comfort due to low sensitivity to cold and heat. The company also offers its own photopolymer 3D printer in the form of Varseo XS.
Prosthetics currently using The Form 2 and The Form 3B 3D printers will be able to use BEGO resins for 3D printing of permanent single crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers as well as temporary crowns and bridges. This allows dental laboratories to reduce costs while increasing the quality of the final product. Both temporary and permanent materials will be offered in various shades and can be customized.
