Evonik and LEHVOSS enter into a strategic partnership in the field of industrial 3D printing

Global chemical companies Evonik and LEHVOSS Group have announced a strategic partnership in the area of industrial 3D printing. The cooperation is based on two tasks: based on PA613 polymers produced by Evonik, LEHVOSS will create its own 3D printing materials under its own brand LUVOSINT, and at the beginning of September 2023, it will include INFINAM PA 6005 P (PA613) powder, also produced by Evonik, in its portfolio. Both materials are intended for use in the automotive industry.

INFINAM PA 6005 P is a powdered polyamide created by Evonik based on PA613 and intended for 3D printing using SLS technology. The material is produced using a special precipitation process developed at Marl Chemical Park and is suitable for 3D printing in a higher temperature range. Compared to other difficult-to-process materials from the polyamide 6 family, INFINAM PA 6005 P is characterized by low water absorption – below 3%, which positively affects processing in the 3D printing process and during post-processing.

LEHVOSS has developed a carbon fiber reinforced powder variant for laser sintering from Evonik’s PA613 base polymer under the brand name LUVOSINT PA613 9711 CF. The material combines special carbon fibers with individual plastic particles. Carbon fibers sintered in this way comply with applicable occupational health and safety regulations. By including Evonik’s unreinforced INFINAM PA 6005 P in its product portfolio, LEHVOSS now offers both materials from a single source.

With the LUVOSINT and LUVOCOM 3F product lines, the LEHVOSS Group offers 3D printing plastics that are adapted to the most popular production processes, such as SLS, FDM / FFF and 3D printing from granulates (FGF).
