Eplus3D, a Chinese manufacturer of industrial metal 3D printers, has announced the launch of the EP-M1250 large-format 9-laser additive manufacturing machine. The new 3D printer is equipped with a working chamber with dimensions of 1258 x 1258 x 1350 mm, which with nine laser heads will significantly increase the possibilities of producing large-size parts and achieve high productivity.
The system can work with various metal powders, such as titanium, aluminum and nickel alloys, maraging steel, stainless steel, chromium-cobalt alloys and others. It is suitable for the direct production of large-size, precision and high-performance parts in the aerospace, automotive, and engineering industries. To achieve uniform part properties throughout the build plate, the gas flow has been optimized and redesigned to ensure effective smoke and spatter removal as well as uniform and consistent 3D printing.
Machine efficiency is up to 240 cm3 / h, with density up to 99.9% and deviation of mechanical properties <5%. The integrated process software offers the possibility to divide the construction model into different sections for which process parameters can be individually applied.
3D prints made on the EP-M1250 3D printer will be presented at the upcoming Formnext 2022 fair in Frankfurt am Main, at the company’s stand 12.0 – E22.
