Last week, the German voxeljet announced that it had entered into a contract with the so-called leaseback, which is to bring him about EUR 26.5 million gross income, which in turn is to be used to pay off his financial liabilities. At the same time, the company announced its financial results for the second quarter and the first half of 2022.
Revenue of voxeljet in the second quarter of this year increased by + 35.4% to EUR 6.7 million. Total revenues for the first six months of the year increased by + 25.9% to EUR 11.3 million compared to EUR 9 million in the previous year. Revenues from the 3D printer sales segment increased by + 35.0% – the company sold two new and one used and refurbished 3D printer (a year ago it sold a total of two – one new and one used). Revenues from 3D printing services increased by + 35.8% to EUR 3 million in the second quarter of 2022.
Dr. Ingo Ederer, CEO of voxeljet, commented on the results achieved:
We are very pleased with the results for the quarter. We are still very busy in our on-demand printing segment and have won large orders for 3D printing systems over the past months. With orders currently signed for 3D printers, we have already achieved our target for 2022. We are now working hard to ensure deliveries and installations are on time to be able to record revenue from these orders in 2022. As with many other companies, we continue to observe some delays at our suppliers as well as rising costs, especially for electrical components.
As a result, voxeljet’s revenues for the third quarter of 2022 are expected to be between 5.5 million and 6 million euros. The company reaffirms its guidance for the full year ending December 31, 2022, with revenues ranging from EUR 25 million to EUR 30 million, and gross profit margin should exceed 32.5%.
