Desktop Metal expands its global partnership with SolidCAM to four new countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia

Desktop Metal (NYSE: DM), a world leader in additive manufacturing technologies for mass production, announced today that it has expanded its partnership with CNC software developer SolidCAM, creator of breakthrough iMachining technology, and a leading distributor of solutions to precision metal manufacturers worldwide.

SolidCAM, a leader in the production of CAM software for CNC machining and the distribution of related digital manufacturing solutions, has more than 20,000 manufacturing customers using CNC technology worldwide. As a sales partner of Desktop Metal in Germany from 2021, SolidCAM will now also sell the company’s additive manufacturing systems in the US, UK, Israel and India. The SolidCAM CNC + AM Center of Excellence showrooms, which operate in the US, UK and Germany, will be equipped with Desktop Metal Studio System and Shop System solutions for demonstration, education, training, benchmarking and low-volume production

SolidCAM was founded in 1984 and has been offering Desktop Metal products in Germany since 2021. It will now offer Desktop Metal solutions for direct metal 3D printing to customers in the United States, where SolidCAM has technology centers at its US headquarters in Newton, Pa. and Rancho Cucamonga, California, as well as the United Kingdom, Israel, and India. In total, SolidCAM has approximately 100 direct sales team members worldwide.
