ASTM International acquires Wohlers Associates

The global standardization organization ASTM International has announced the acquisition of Wohlers Associates, Inc., a leading additive manufacturing consulting company with 35 years of experience in the 3D printing market. As part of the acquisition, ASTM International will also acquire the Wohlers Report, an industry-leading, annual market study for 3D printing.

Wohlers Associates will operate as “Wohlers Associates, powered by ASTM International”. Terry Wohlers, the company’s founder and president, will join ASTM International as head of AM (Additive Manufacturing) Market Intelligence. Noah Mostow of Wohlers Associates will become ASTM’s new AM Market Analysis and Analysis Manager.
