3D Systems expands its dental offer with a new 3D printer – LCD1 and two new prosthetic resins

3D Systems has announced the launch of a new 3D printer – NextDent LCD1, along with two new materials – NextDent Base and NextDent Cast, to strengthen its offer for digital dentistry. The new products will be presented this week at IDS 2023 in Cologne, Germany.

NextDent LCD1 has been designed to complement the NextDent 5100 platform, offering the full spectrum of LCD 3D printing capabilities, but in a smaller package. The 3D printer is adapted to work in small dental offices that do not carry out 3D prints on a large scale. 3D Systems says the NextDent LCD1 delivers “high-quality applications” with an “easy-to-use” workflow.

3D Systems introduces a new 3D printer with the NextDent Cast material dedicated to it. It is an easily burnout casting resin, dedicated to 3D printing of crowns and bridges thanks to its stability, strength and better printability. The resin is blue.

The company has also introduced a new NextDent base material, dedicated to 3D printing all kinds of removable denture bases. The latest version of the resin is comparable to conventional denture framework materials and will provide patients with durable, impact-resistant dentures. It is available in four color versions.
