3D printing filaments

3 brand new engineering filaments by Formfutura!

A Dutch company Formfutura has launched today 3  new engineering filaments. They are the result of extensive research and modifying/optimizing industrial-grade thermoplastics for FDM 3D printing. All below mentioned materials are FDM-optimized as they are based on zero-warp engineering and have optimized first- and interlayer adhesion properties. As a result these materials can be printed directly on a heated glass plate and print results give an almost injection-molded precision/finish.

ApolloX™

It is a professional high strength and performance engineering filament based on a uniquely industrial-grade modified ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) compound. It has been modified to have great thermal stability and improved filament flow behaviour and has zero-warping and flawless first- and interlayer adhesion allowing you to 3D print objects with an almost injection molding precision. It is UV and weather resistant ensuring great colour stability.

It is a new high-performance and FDM-optimized engineering ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) type of 3D printer filament with strongly improved mechanical properties and by its FDM-optimization – zero warping, superb first layer adhesion to glass/kapton/pet/adhesives, perfect interlayer adhesion, thermal stability and filament flowing behavior – it is a very easy to print material. It can be printed directly on a heated glass print bed and by its high impact strength and FDM-optimization it is a perfect material for 3D printing large scale engineering objects.

It is the next generation in water-soluble support materials for dual extrusion FDM 3D printing. It is an unique PVA blend which has a far more improved thermal stability compared to “normal” PVA and by that ensures a much more stable dual extrusion printing process. It bonds extremely well to a wide variety of thermoplastics such as PLA, ABS, HIPS, TPE, TPU. PETG, ASA, etc. and is much less sensitive to degradation by humidity.
