So it happened! It’s the next time when Carbon 3D set tongues wagging on the 3D printing market, after announcing its cooperation with Kanon and three other bureaus. It’s a breakthrough in the history of the company – a new CLIP 3D printer – M1, is available on market!

CLIP technology – Continuous Liquid Interface Production, is a photochemical process involving a liquid interface of uncured resin and a passing light source. Thanks  to an oxygen permeable window, 3D printing can occur quickly without interruption or visible layers. The Carbon3D approach has been said to be up to 100x faster than other traditional 3D printers. Now, you can experience it at first hand, using a brand new 3D printer – M1.

The 3D printer M1 is equipped with a billet aluminum build platform, an oxygen-permeable window cassette, and a high-performance LED light engine. Its working area – 14,4 x 8,1 x 33 cm is perfect for low-volume production purposes and functional prototyping. M1 uses Carbons’s software, it has also built-in sensors to provide diagnostics and optimize printing performance. The M1 runs on both a built-in and cloud-based server, with internet connectivity in order to provide seamless software updates.

Additionally, Carbon3D is realising seven new types of resins:

  • Three Rigid Polyurethane (RPU) resins, which are the stiffest and most versatile of Carbon’s materials, and are ideal for use in consumer electronics, automotive, and other industrial components,
  • Flexible Polyurethane (FPU),
  • Elastomeric Polyurethane (EPU),
  • Cyanate Ester-based resin (CE),
  • Prototyping Resin (PR).

We are presenting some 3D prints made with M1 below.
